Lore is a single-user, self-hosted archive. The data it holds belongs to the person running this server, is stored on infrastructure they control, and is never sold, shared or sent anywhere else.
What Lore collects
- Pages visited in browsers where the Lore extension is installed: the URL, the page title, when it was visited, and which browser and device it came from.
- Optionally, and only if you connect an account: what you saved, liked, followed and shared on that platform.
Google user data
If you connect a YouTube account, Lore requests the read-only scope
https://www.googleapis.com/auth/youtube.readonly and uses it to read:
- your liked-videos playlist,
- the channels you subscribe to,
- and your own channel's public statistics.
How it is used. Only to show it back to you inside your own copy of Lore. It is not analysed, profiled, advertised against, or used to train anything.
How it is stored. In the operator's own PostgreSQL database, on their own hosting. Access tokens are stored there too so the connection can refresh itself.
How it is shared. It is not. No third party receives it, and it leaves this server only when the operator's own app asks for it over an authenticated connection.
Lore's use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.
What Lore never collects
- Private or incognito browsing. The extension does not run there.
- Page contents, passwords, or form input.
- Anything from anyone other than the person running this server.
Removing your data
Disconnect an account at any time from Lore's settings, or revoke Lore's access directly at your Google account permissions. To erase what has already been collected, the operator can delete the rows, or the database.
